Let's have some fun... making up new theme acronyms. We can really let the creative juices flow... Ignite our thought processes a little... and build upon school spirit.

Everyone can develop winning school themes... Have you seen our process ? We've developed a fair number of "winners" already and more are on the way.

Most themes are developed around a "play on words" and form an acronym.


If you don't have the time or resources to commit to preparing your own new themes Try ours... we keep adding new ones so check back from time to time.

These self creations are intended to inspire heightened school spirit, motivate staff and students and help teachers administer in a positive learning environment.

Here's a very short tutorial on theme acronyms

Acronyms defined - "A word formed from the initial letters of a name or by combining initial letters or parts of a series of words."

For example, take the first letter of each word in DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION and we get the acronym DOE.

Another example - GENERAL EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT GED

Not all acronyms are pronounceable words - like "IAW" In Accordance With... instead each letter is spoken. And, we also have acronyms called initialisms, such as MCI, IBM, etc...

Just to point out that we have nearly unlimited options as we create special theme ideas...

We want them to be relevant to our school or community, and offer some inspiring motivational content and perspective.

Acronyms come in many forms and are referred to in several ways. They are often categorized by type such as business acronyms, educational acronyms etc.

A few names such as netlingo, chat, instant messaging and texting have become popular substitutes.

"Here's one we just thought of... The word "PLEASE"... might be used as an acronym and convert to...

"Please Let Everyone Assist Student Education."

Often you can create a new theme concept, in theme acronym form, that includes your school's initials... everyone feels a part of the process and school spirit rockets ahead.

This theme building, acronym creating process can be a lot of fun and helps students be part of a very positive and rewarding experience.
